SnipSesh ("we," "us," or "our") operates the snipsesh.com website and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and optional display name and company/organization name. Authentication is handled via magic link email through our authentication provider, Stytch. We do not collect or store passwords.
1.2 User Content
When you use the Service, you provide video URLs (YouTube, Veo) for clip extraction, clip metadata (titles, tags, time ranges), and highlight configuration (branding, recruitment info, stats, position). You may also upload a logo image for watermarking.
1.3 Generated Content
Our Service processes source videos to create clips and highlight reels. These generated video files and thumbnails are stored in cloud storage associated with your account.
1.4 Payment Information
Token purchases are processed through Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full billing details. Stripe provides us with a customer identifier and transaction records. Please refer to Stripe's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment data.
1.5 Usage Data
We automatically collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps to maintain and improve the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- To process clip extractions and highlight compositions you request
- To manage your account and token balance
- To process payments through Stripe
- To send transactional emails (magic links, account notifications)
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or technical issues
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following categories of service providers who are necessary to operate the Service:
- Stytch— authentication and magic link delivery
- Supabase— database hosting and file storage
- Stripe— payment processing
- Vercel— web application hosting
- Railway— video processing worker hosting
- Upstash— job queue delivery
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SnipSesh, our users, or the public.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers in the United States via Supabase (PostgreSQL database and object storage) and Vercel/Railway (application hosting). We use encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) for all connections. Authentication sessions are managed via signed JWTs stored in HTTP-only cookies.
5. Data Retention
- Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- Deleted clips and highlights are moved to a recycle bin and permanently deleted after 30 days.
- Highlight output files expire and are deleted 30 days after creation.
- Payment records are retained as required for accounting and tax compliance.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export your clip and highlight metadata

7. Third-Party Video Sources
The Service allows you to provide URLs from YouTube and Veo for clip extraction. We access these videos on your behalf to process the segments you specify. We do not host, redistribute, or publicly display the source videos. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use the source video content. Please also refer to YouTube's Terms of Service and Veo's Terms.
8. Cookies
We use a single essential cookie (snipsesh_session) to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not provide any personal information. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
